About this experience

What this experience is This is a compact electric bike tour through two of Granada’s most characterful historic areas: the Albaicín and Sacromonte. The route is designed to cover viewpoints, narrow streets, and local stories in about one hour, using e-assist to make the hills manageable. It is a good fit if you want a short, active overview of Granada with real guidance, safe pacing, and enough stops for photos and context. Why book with Play Granada Play Granada has been operating local tours in Granada since 2003. For this ride, that means practical organization: correct bike fitting, a clear safety briefing, a route adapted to the day, and guides who know how to move through busy historic streets without making the experience feel rushed. This is not a generic bike rental. It is a guided ride with local context, support, and a route planned around Granada’s hills, viewpoints, and street layout. What you’ll do Ride an electric bike from the Play Granada office near Plaza Nueva. Climb into the Albaicín with e-assist support. Stop at selected viewpoints facing the Alhambra and the old city. Pass through characteristic streets, squares, and hillside areas. Continue toward Sacromonte, depending on timing, group pace, and street conditions. Return to the starting area after a compact guided loop. The exact route may change depending on traffic, events, crowds, weather, and guide judgment. What’s included Electric bike Helmet Safety briefing Local guide Guided route through the Albaicín and Sacromonte area What’s not included Food and drinks Hotel pickup or drop-off Personal expenses Meeting point Meet at the Play Granada office: Carrera del Darro, 1, 18010 Granada, near Plaza Nueva and Santa Ana Church. Please arrive 10 minutes before the scheduled departure so we can fit your bike, explain the controls, and start on time. Duration, pace, and requirements The tour lasts about 1 hour. The electric assistance makes the climbs easier, but riders must be able to cycle independently, brake confidently, and follow guide instructions in city streets. Minimum height: around 150 cm. This activity is not recommended for people who cannot ride a bicycle safely, for pregnancy, or for guests with mobility limitations that make cycling unsafe. What to bring Comfortable clothes for cycling Closed-toe shoes Water, especially in warm weather Sunglasses or sunscreen in summer A light layer in cooler months Cancellation and changes Cancellation and change conditions depend on the rate and booking channel used. Please check the conditions shown at checkout before confirming. If weather or street conditions affect safety, the Play Granada team will advise on the best available option. Good to know This is a short guided ride, not a long cycling workout. Granada’s historic streets can be narrow, uneven, and busy. The guide may adjust the route to keep the group safe and moving smoothly. Small delays can happen when fitting bikes or adapting to group confidence.
